Do you want to make your own healthy body products so you know what is in them!?
There are lots of reasons to make your own soap, and now you can ! in this fun and informative workshop :)
I have been teaching soap-making almost every weekend for 3 years - so you are in good hands! Whether you want to make an all-natural body friendly product or a colourful work of art, cold process soapmaking is a fantastic creative outlet that provides you with a beautiful, practical product to use or give as gifts.
This is a hands on workshop but no experience is necessary and all materials, safety gear and tools are supplied. All the soap ingredients are pre-weighed and measured so you just get straight into the fun part! ... choosing your colours, flowers, botanical goodies and of course the gorgeous fragrances and pure essential oils.
With close guidance and help from me and my assistant, you get to design your own loaf of soap. You choose from my huge variety of dried flowers, rose buds, seeds, spices, natural colours, exfoliates and much more.
To scent your soap, you can choose from - A selection of pure 100% essential oils and a range of "nature identical oil blend fragrances" made in USA by Brambleberry. I consider these the best you can buy and are a blend of essential oils and nature identical fragrance oils (created in a lab to mimic the chemical structure of a more expensive oil, rather than a straight out synthetic)
You will learn about the tools, ingredients, the process and safety as well as what to do at home. We will discuss the cutting and curing procedure and how to safely label your creations, should you wish to gift them or get into selling them.
You will then see a live demonstration, followed by guidance through making your own loaf of soap, which will be ready for you to take home on the day.
And you get to take home:
· A gorgeous loaf of soap, of your design, ready to be cut into 7-8 bars (value $50.00+)
· You keep the timber mold !
· You will also receive my original recipe which is super-moisturising, vegan, palm oil free and using ingredients that are easy to obtain in Perth
· My invaluable soap-making manual, loaded with extra info and tips, as well as extra resources and links to websites and YouTube channels. – 6 x A4 pages full of what I have learned through research and trial and error 😊 . The manual covers everything we have learned in the workshop plus loads of extra detail we may not get chance to cover in the workshop.
In this hands on workshop you get to design and make your own soap from scratch. You will have fun while learning about the gorgeous natural ingredients and the skills needed to make soap at home.
Save money, the environment and know what is in the products you use. And you will have all the gifts you will ever need.
Beginners Shampoo Bar Workshop:
Not all shampoo bars are created equal! Some are soap and others are noodles of harsh detergents pressed together to form a bar which can crumble. There is nothing wrong with either (soap is good for dreadlocks and SLS is a cheaper alternative) But I prefer a very mild, long lasting, solid bar that is so good on your hair that conditioner is not always needed. Great for travelling and gentle on the planet with no packaging required.
Perth Soapworks' shampoo bars have become so popular that I have decided to show you how to make them. I get requests for different colours, fragrances, and constant requests for this workshop. So I thought i would throw open the doors, so you can design and make them just how you like - any shape or colour you like. Add flowers, extracts. Make dog shampoo or a shampoo that may suit your sensitive scalp. My unique formula and process ensures a hard bar that is extremely mild and has a great feel on the hair. - moisturising, frizz taming, very gentle. No soap, no SLS, no silicone.
So how are these shampoo bars actually made? What are they made of? Want to have a go but don't feel confident enough to try it? Daunted by the amount of ingredients and where to get them from?
Do you want to make your own bars so you know what is in them? Save a few dollars by making your own? Want a butterfly shape ?
